Delaware Book Festival

Yes, finally! It's this coming Saturday, 1 November!

From 10 to 4, I will be at the Festival, as an author -- ha, finally! Something I have dreamed of for years!

If you are anywhere near Delaware, come see me at the Public Archives in Dover Delaware on Saturday!

For more info, check out the Delaware Book Festival page!

odds and ends

I accomplished quite a bit today, I think. I managed to do chores around the house (my hands and wrists are not happy about it -- pain levels are incredible, and I bet I regret it tomorrow), wrote the cover letter and found a new title for my book (both with the help of friends), did some proofing of stories for RGR, tweaked my website a bit, and played on Facebook for a few minutes.

Only in Delaware...

While driving in Dover tonight, we passed a shall-remain-nameless family restaurant advertising "Monte Crisco" sandwiches.

Very cool! --part two

What a sweet girl! And she has a great passion for writing. Not only that, but if I didn't know she has great taste by her choice of persons to interview (heh), her favorite color is purple. That says it all!

Her class was attentive and asked very good questions; the teacher seems to do a great job.

What a fun experience -- and sobering, to think I'm a role model for this aspiring young writer.

And if that wasn't enough to make my day, it's also my wedding anniversary! Off to a romantic dinner for two with my sweetie of 26 years!! Whoo!

Very cool!

I participate in the Young Authors conferences every year in our state, to encourage young people as writers. One of those young writers chose me to interview for a class project. I was so surprised and honored. I'll be at her school later today for her presentation; I can't wait to see her again!
